Michael Jackson's ex-wife Debbie Rowe has reportedly been diagnosed with breast cancer.

And while on Monday TMZ claimed her daughter Paris - who she had with the late singer Michael Jackson - didn't even know about the diagnosis because they are estranged, the next day the same site changed its tune saying the two have spoken.

It was reported by the site that the 18-year-old has told her mother she 'loves her' and has promised to visit after her surgery.

The pair reportedly stopped speaking more than a year ago and in May this year the 18-year-old stopped following her mother on social media.

The superstar divorced Lisa Marie Presley the same year that he met Rowe and she went on to give birth to the late star's son Prince, 19, in 1997 - three months after they married.

The shock news comes after Rowe had a cancer scare two years ago.

At the time, she turned down a marriage proposal from her long-time friend Marc Schaffel because she feared for the worse.

However, her illness turned out to be sarcoidosis - an auto-immune disease that is not life-threatening - and after getting the all-clear from her doctor the former nurse agreed to marry Schaffel, who is The King of Pop's former business manager.

Her relationship with the record producer isn't a problem for the children. She told TMZ: 'The kids have known him since they were little and they like him a lot.'

Their love bloomed in the years after her divorce from Jackson, who died in 2009.

'We just remained friends. He's helped me with a lot of things and friendship sometimes turns into relationships and that's what happened,' she said.

Rowe lives on a horse ranch in rural Palmdale, in Los Angeles County.

'She's a fighter': Paris Jackson kisses her bald cancer-patient mom Debbie Rowe as she promotes cannabis over chemo in loving snap

By Sameer Suri For Dailymail.com

Published: 01:31 GMT, 8 October 2016 | Updated: 07:34 GMT, 8 October 2016

On Friday, Paris Jackson posted a photo of herself with her mother, Debbie Rowe.

The 18-year-old kissed the 57-year-old's head, which had gone entirely bald from the chemotherapy that, according to TMZ, she began in September for breast cancer.

Earlier that day, Jackson had tweeted that 'apparently more cancer patients die from the chemo itself than from the actual cancer,' along with a YouTube video entitled: 'Science Explains How Cannabis Kills Cancer Cells.'

The video by the Miami-based Cannabis Planet TV is an interview with molecular biologist Cristina Sánchez of the Complutense University Of Madrid.

Therein, she vaunts the virtues of 'cannabinoid-based medicines,' which she claims would 'target specifically tumor cells. They do not have any toxic effect on normal, nontumoral cells,' whereas chemotherapy would 'target basically everything.'

Meanwhile, in her Instagram caption, the only daughter of Michael Jackson declined to criticise her mother's choice of treatment. She wrote simply: 'i'm a fighter because she's a fighter. love you mom'.
Later in the day, she appeared to be taking some comfort from her ordeal in the embrace of boyfriend, Michael Snoddy.

An Instagram photo showed her standing with her back to the camera, turning her head so her face was visible in profile. The 26-year-old threw an arm about her shoulder, grinning at her from beneath a pink mohawk.

Both of their tops - his tank-top and her full-sleeve shirt - read: 'THANK GOD FOR PUNK ROCK.'

She captioned the photo: 'hello there the angel from my nightmare #punkrocklove,' the word 'nightmare' possibly alluding to her mother's illness. Initially, the caption had only included the hashtag; the rest of the text was added later.

Rowe, who was married to the King Of Pop from from 1996 to 1999, gave the camera a resolute smile. A large, elaborate cross dangled from her neck.

TMZ have reported that the cancer diagnosis pushed the two women to mend fences, years after Jackson shut Rowe out of her life and refused to answer her phone calls.

Earlier this year, Jackson amplified the feud by unfollowing her mother on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

On Facebook, the Spokane native had confided: 'One of the saddest things in this world is to see a child grow up hating one of their parents because they only got one side of the story.'

Legacy: The 18-year-old is the 57-year-old's daughter by her marriage to Michael Jackson, which lasted from 1996 to 1999; mother and daughter are pictured here in 2013

Rowe married the Thriller singer the year of his divorce from his first wife, Lisa Marie Presley. They'd met when Rowe - who'd also been married before - worked as a nurse at the clinic where he underwent treatment for his notorious vitiligo.

Before their daughter was born, the marriage produced a son called Michael Joseph 'Prince' Jackson, Jr, who is now 19 years old.

After his second divorce, the Billie Jean singer had a child via surrogacy called Prince Michael 'Blanket' Jackson II in 2002. Seven years later, he died at the age of 50 via acute intoxication of propofol and benzodiazepines.

No doubt things have been difficult for Debbie Rowe lately, as she's been battling breast cancer while enduring chemotherapy.

But on Friday she was still able to muster a smile when her daughter Paris Jackson met up with her for a spot of lunch.

The 18-year-old stepped out with her 57-year-old mom, and the duo was also accompanied by Paris's boyfriend Michael Snoddy.

For the outing, Paris kept things casual but classy, opting for an olive top with the sleeves rolled up, and some denim-print cropped leggings.

A pair of tan boots worn without the laces tied added an even more laid back vibe to the look.

Accessories included different bracelets, including a frilly wristband, and an earthy necklace.

She carried her belongings in a small leather print backpack.

Mother Debbie also kept things casual in a white shirt, jeans and a white duster-style coat.

Some leather boots with intricate embroidery and a purse brimming with tassels added a tad of southwestern flair to her ensemble.

Of course she also wore a ball cap to no doubt protect her chemo-induced bald head from the California sun.

Paris's boyfriend Michael perhaps was the most casual of all, sporting just a black t-shirt, extremely ripped jeans and some black sneakers.

'She's my rock': Debbie Rowe says Paris Jackson is the 'reason' she gets out of bed each day during chemo treatment for breast cancer

Debbie Rowe explained what an incredible support daughter Paris Jackson has been since the breast cancer diagnosis she received in July.

The ex-wife of the late Michael Jackson - who reconciled with the 18-year-old after being estranged for more than a year - described the teen as her 'rock' as she is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments.

'She's my rock, she's amazing,' the 57-year-old told Entertainment Tonight. 'She's been with me the whole time.'

'She was there. First phone call, [it] took her 30 seconds [to reach out] when she found out,' Rowe confided.
The Washington native - who was married to the King Of Pop from from 1996 to 1999 - explained that Paris has been her 'reason' to get out of bed each day.

She admitted: 'You have to work very hard to get up every morning and do this.'

Earlier this month Paris shared a sweet Instagram snapshot of the pair as she placed a loving kiss upon her mom following a chemotherapy session.

'I'm a fighter because she's a fighter. love you mom,' the platinum blonde beauty captioned the image.

Rowe gushed: 'For her to kiss my bald head… [her love] is pretty unconditional.'

Entertainment Tonight will air Debbie Rowe's interview on the CBS network on October 27.

TMZ reported that the cancer diagnosis pushed the two women to mend fences, years after Jackson shut Rowe out of her life and refused to answer her phone calls.

Debbie Rowe now starts her day with a "cup of coffee," a list of "things to do," a positive attitude and three simple words: "I got this."

Michael Jackson's ex-wife and a mother of two, Debbie is currently undergoing chemotherapy after she was diagnosed with breast cancer in July. She recently sat down with ET's Kevin Frazier, where she got candid on her treatment and how her and the late singer's 18-year-old daughter, Paris, has become her No. 1 support.
While speaking with ET, Debbie, 57, reflected on the exact moment she learned she had cancer, which she says she discovered "in a different way than most people." Because she was seeing a new doctor, Debbie thought she was just going in for a "baseline ultrasound," when a technician revealed the heartbreaking news.

had the ultrasound and they said, 'Where are you having problems?' And I said, 'I'm not having problems,'" she said, adding that her doctor later told her, "I'm sorry you found out that way."

"[My doctor] told me it was going to be a bumpy ride, and to bear with him," she continued. "And it was. I had more biopsies, and more tests, and ultrasounds, blood work and things like that. But I didn't expect -- this is a lot to go through. And that was before they [even] did the lumpectomy." Dr. Motlagh found Rowe's lump and she was later referred to Dr. Greg Senofsy as a surgeon
Debbie told ET that she reconnected with Paris following the diagnosis. She said her daughter has continued to be her "rock" and a tremendous support throughout the ongoing process.

She's my rock, she's amazing," explained Debbie, who also mothered a son, 19-year-old Prince, with the late King of Pop. "She's been with me the whole time. She was there. First phone call, [it] took her 30 seconds [to reach out] when she found out."

Debbie notes that every day is a struggle -- "you have to work very hard to get up every morning and do this" -- but because of Paris, she has "a reason" to get out of bed and start each day with a smile. The mother-daughter duo recently snapped a photo inside the hospital together, a picture Debbie says means "everything" to her.

"For her to kiss my bald head," Debbie began, "[her love] is pretty unconditional."

Prior to their reconciliation over the summer, it had been several years since the two were photographed together, the last time being in Palmdale, California, over Memorial Day weekend in 2013. Now, Debbie says her relationship with Paris is "awesome."

"I can't tell you how much I love her," she gushed. "We go for sushi, we talk about music, and we text all the time."

The former nurse also told ET that if it weren't for her friends, Michelle and Amber, she'd "probably be dead" because she "wasn't making sense to anyone." She also credits her team of doctors and cancer hair loss consultant Amy Gibson for helping her through the trying time.

"Chemo does its best to make you lose your femininity," she said. "You lose your hair, you lose your eyelashes, you lose your eyebrows. And what a lot of people don't realize is, that when I take this [wig] off, I'm still me. I'm still feminine, I'm still a woman, and above all, I'm still human."

Debbie confessed that once she learned she had cancer, her first thought was, "What about my hair?" She told ET about the doctors who have been there for her throughout her battle, including Dr. Motlagh, who found her lump, her surgeon Dr. Greg Senofsky, her oncologist Dr. Rena Callahan, Kidney MD Michael Shye and her nurse practitioner, Cynthia Carsten.
Tune in to ET tonight to see Debbie candidly remove her wig, which she named Ursula, and hear her thoughts on how she thinks Michael would react to her cancer if he were still alive today.
