Dear Friends Around The World
Today we are thrilled to be able to break the silence and confirm that the Michael Jackson Global Birthday Party 2020 may take place. It's going to happen on Saturday the 12th of September! Our loyal party venue Quatre Bras (which of course takes into account the current regulations of our Dutch government) has confirmed to our great joy that according to the legally permitted standard 100 Michael Jackson fans can come and celebrate our annual party in Best!
We haven't been sitting still in the recent months and our loyal artists are busy as ever as well with the preparations for the upcoming feast. And, as usual and as it stands now, some nice surprises await us on September 12.
The Michael Jackson Party Bus will go on tour for a second time, albeit with a limited number of guests due to the legal measures. Wearing face masks, which will not cause any problems for Michael Jackson fans, is of course mandatory.
The annual lottery and quiz will also be part of the program. So we recommend fans who want to compete for the MJ Fan of the Year Cup to boost their Michael Jackson knowledge.. This year is a.o. about HIStory 25!
Updates on our Website will follow soon. Tickets can be ordered already now online and you need to reserve your free seat in the MJ Party Bus by sending an email to armyoflove@hotmail.com.
As mentioned, we are currently bound by the legally permitted number of tickets and seats, so be quick if you want to join us! We will inform you as soon as the allowed limits have been reached.
We make every effort to have this annual event -our joint gift to Michael for his birthday - go ahead and we make every effort to ensure everyone's safety on September 12th. We count on everyone's cooperation and understanding and we hope to see you in September!
All for L.O.V.E.

Celebrating Love on Michael Jackson’s 62 Birthday
By hannahkozak
The truth is I wasn’t going to blog on the anniversary of Michael Jackson’s 62nd birthday this year. Not only have we been in a heat wave in Los Angeles but I have been trying to manage with my mother locked down in a nursing facility, left brain damaged from her second husband’s abuse. For the past six months, she has not been allowed visitors but I have been given permission to see her from a gate for 25 minutes, in the sun, with traffic whizzing by, two times a week. The isolation is getting to her as she does not understand why she has no visitors coming inside even though I have tried to explain the situation to her. She asks me to “come inside”, “let’s go” “vamanos” and “open the gate.” Finding a perfectly ripe avocado made me happy, because it’s the only food they allow me to bring her.

The medical director of the facility told me “We need your voice, don’t back down” so I haven’t but it’s exhausting. Then, to make matters worse, I was told that the facility working with the Dept. of Health would open up a safe, social distanced arrangement where family can visit without endangering the residents, staff or visitors at the end of August. There were 5 new cases in a building in the same campus two weeks ago, so the residents have been locked down once again. In place of boredom, I offer my mother spontaneity. In place of loneliness, I offer companionship. Instead of feeling helpless, being able to visit with my mother gave me the opportunity to take care of another human being. I look forward to the day that will we set them free from this tyranny.

As I pulled into Forest Lawn Glendale, I was wondering if Michael would be remembered this year as more people tend to visit on the anniversary of his death, rather than his birthday. As I saw the intricate, creative cards and the stunning arrangement of flowers, I knew I had to share these photographs with his fans so here I am again.

Paris, created an edit of herself and Michael, using a a throwback shot of him in a red button-down and a black fedora hat.

[soulmum]

"Michael was an inmate and always felt more comfortable at #Neverland. He would have felt at home if they quarantined him because he used to stay home for many months at a time without going anywhere. Miguel was the king and if they wanted to see him, they had to go and see him. One day I convinced Michael to come to Miami with me on the weekend of my birthday. We stayed with Al and Nancy Malnik Malnik kinlam6 who lived closer to Palm Beach than Miami. Michael loved being with Al and Nancy so much that he moved home for 6 months. I convinced Michael to leave home and come with me to #MiamiBeach to visit my neighborhood. I showed him where the Bar Mitzvah was at the EDEN ROC Hotel, my ieshivá The Hebrew Academy, my Beach High and where my first kiss was held. I also took him to my favorite Cuban restaurant at that time #David' sCafe Michael asked me to invite my grandmother (Fanita) whom she loved and who lived in Miami Beach to join us. They would talk on the phone for hours and he would ask my grandmother about her life, but she spent most of the time telling him about me and my life and how proud she was of me. Michael would always tell me how lucky he was not only to have a grandmother but also how lucky he was to be loved so much by someone. She said that she inspired him and felt the same way about her children as she did about me. Since he didn't go out much, he loved the experience of being in a restaurant doing something normal, like ordering a menu and eating among other people. Some people recognized him, but they assumed he looked like Michael Jackson because no one would believe that he would be in a family restaurant eating a great Cuban meal. He ate Cuban food for the first time. We had croquettes, steak dove, Picadillo, mature (rice and beans) Jupina, Materva to drink and we finished him off with of course a mamey milkshake. Good times. I love you and I miss you Michael! Happy Birthday!" #BrettRatner
