February 27th, 1980. #MichaelJackson earned his first career Grammy at the 22nd Grammy Awards when "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" won for Best R&B Vocal Performance, Male.
"Among those enjoying a particularly meaningful and memorable night were the Doobie Brothers who won Record Of The Year for “What A Fool Believes,” as well Best Pop Vocal Performance By A Duo, Group Or Chorus for Minute By Minute, while “What A Fool Believes” also prevailed in the Song Of The Year category for writers Michael McDonald and Kenny Loggins. Michael Jackson also won his first GRAMMY (Best R&B Vocal Performance, Male, for “Don’t Stop ’Til You Get Enough”) and Bob Dylan won his second — Best Rock Vocal Performance, Male, for “Gotta Serve Somebody.” Dylan’s performance of the song was the best sort of fire-and-brimstone rock gospel — a religious and musical experience in the best possible way. Billy Joel won Album Of The Year and Best Pop Vocal Performance, Male, for his work on 52nd Street." Recording Academy / GRAMMYs

May 14th, 1988. Prior to perform his #BadWorldTour in Europe this summer #MichaelJackson moved out of Hayvenhurst to his recently purchased ranch in the Santa Ynez Vallez. Sycamore Valley Ranch, formerly Neverland Ranch or Neverland, is a developed property in Santa Barbara County, California, located at 5225 Figueroa Mountain Road, Los Olivos, California, on the edge of Los Padres National Forest. Michael Jackson purchased the estate from Bone in March 1988 for an unknown amount. Some sources indicate $19.5 million while others suggest it was closer to $30 million. The property was initially purchased by a trust with Jackson's lawyer, John Branca, and his accountant, Marshall Gelfand, as trustees, for reasons of privacy. The arrangement was later rescinded by Michael Jackson in April 1988 and he became the ultimate owner of the property.

June 1, 1988. On the eve of the unforgettable Bad Tour show at Vienna's Prater Stadium, Michael Jackson sightseeing in Vienna, Austria. #MichaelJackson visited Schönbrunn Palace -
the historic Viennese imperial palace that from 1730 to 1918 housed the House of Habsburg as a summer residence, and which in 1996 was to be declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Michael admired in awe the sumptuous and richly decorated rooms that hosted Princess Sissi and Emperor Franz Joseph in the 19th century, strolled and took photos in the large French Baroque-style park of some 160 hectares. His photographer Sam Emerson organized a photoshoot at the Schönbrunn Palace "We were walking in Vienna (Austria) and I saw these two women sitting on a bench and I told Michael to sit next to them, they had no idea who I was, they were 80 years old. It was fun! " #SamEmerson #BadWorldTour

July 6, 1998. #MichaelJackson and Don Barden helded a press conference in Detroit to discuss the project. Don Barden wished to build a casino in Detroit as well, he submitted three proposals to the city to get the licenses. Barden's business partner on the project was Michael Jackson. The projects were named "Majestic Kingdom,"
an amusement park along the Detroit River, including an aquarium, casino and hotel. The theme park would be called "The Thriller Theme Park" and the hotel "The Mansion in the Sky". The plan also included a restaurant, bar and nightclubs.
At this time, Michael visited the Detroit Children's Hospital, where he signed autographs and gave the little patients over 200 toys. Michael himself made several visits to the Detroit area, trying to get support for the project. Unfortunately the project was never to come out because the city council never gave permission, and in August 1998, Detroit citizen rejected the proposal.
