Mike Tyson says he hated Michael Jackson's guts for YEARS -- calling him a "cold motherf**ker" -- until he got to know the singer ... and that's when everything changed.

The boxing superstar opened up about his experience with MJ on T.I.'s "Expeditiously" podcast ... saying Jackson dissed him backstage at a concert in 1986.

Tyson says he had just become the heavyweight champion of the world -- and had become super famous -- but Jackson treated him as if he was a nobody. Tyson said MJ straight-up hurt his feelings.

"It broke my ego," Tyson said ... "It crushed me."

Tyson says he harbored some serious animosity toward MJ for years -- saying, "That cold motherf**ker. I hated his guts forever."

But, a while later, a mutual friend approached Tyson and said MJ wanted to hang out -- so he swallowed his pride and visited with the singer, hoping to squash the beef.

Not only did they bury the hatchet, Mike says he quickly learned Jackson was a cunning genius, and not a "f**king idiot."

"He wasn't no f**king stupid little feeble lookin' boy like Peter Pan. He's f**king sharp. He knew what f**kin' time it was. It blew my mind."

Tyson even says MJ was a "player" who was an expert in seduction -- and the King of Pop would offer up pointers on how to land beautiful women.

"I thought he was a f**king idiot until I met him that day," Tyson said ... "I learned to respect him. I knew he was a player."

You've worked with a lot of male celebrities throughout the years, most notably Michael Jackson. How did that happen?

I had worked with Macaulay Culkin, and I thought that maybe it was a case of he'd mentioned me to him, but it wasn't like that at all. Michael told me he liked my shading. I think he would've worked with Kevyn Aucoin, since he was a fan of Kevyn's makeup. He was just looking for somebody who could do makeup as some sort of a painter really. That's how it happened, but really it came out of the blue. I was wondering after that, Who's gonna call me next? Donald Duck? [Laughs]

Does anyone ever think Michael Jackson is gonna call them? It was a great experience. I still remember really well, because there was a real connection and respect that I felt. I felt like I was with a true artist — someone that was very sensitive. It wasn't like working with a celebrity that keeps checking their Instagram to see how many hits they got. It was nothing like that at all, it was really old school, just focusing on what you're doing. Not in a high pressure way, just in a happy we're here to do this, enjoyable way.

Michael was easy to work with?

He was very respectful. The thing that I don't like in a job is if I'm prevented from doing my job. I felt that he was giving me a lot of respect by letting me work and appreciating the craft. Also, he was fascinating to watch — just dancing spontaneously and being humble and sweet. He treated everybody really nicely.

Fans of the 30-year-old 'No Guidance' singer will know that Breezy has idolised Jackson's artistry since childhood and is often flattered by the comparisons made between the pair.

Brown's latest nod to the musical legends comes in the form of a black-and-white Photoshopped image of himself sitting next to Jackson, both wearing formal jackets and black sunglasses.

The image, which Brown left uncredited without a caption, sparked fans to imagine what a collaboration between the pair of R&B crooners would sound like.

"Imagine how those hits would sound or a collab album," wrote one, while another added, "Can you imagine the outcome of this track? Damn."

"Probably not going to see this but I’ve followed Michael Jackson since I was old enough to understand. You definitely the Michael Jackson of our time," wrote one fan.

Breezy famously broke down in tears on stage while performing a tribute to Jackson at the 2010 BET Awards, which marked the one-year anniversary of the superstar's passing.

Last year, rapper 50 Cent sparked controversy after suggesting Brown was better than Jackson, to which Jackson daughter Paris Jackson clapped back.

She write, "superbowl 1993. true legends don’t need to exert outrageous amounts of energy just to grasp your attention," Paris said, "stillness, my friend. stillness. more power in stillness than you can possibly understand."

She added, "and I say this with zero shade to Chris. I love him dearly. this is just for you, 50."
