Mourad Mesellaty is with Rob Swinson.

CONFIRMED : #MichaelJackson's Neverland Ranch is being restored !
MichaelJackson's friend Ron Burkle and now owner
is revitalizing Neverland.
We can see that the team hired by Ron Burkle (owner of the ranch) is repairing the structure of the "Katherine locomotive" and other repairs. On-site restoration of rooms, roof repairs and wood restoration are also being carried out.
In 1988, Michael Jackson acquired the 2,700-hectare ranch located about 5 km, northeast of Los Olivos, California, in the Santa Ynez Valley, which extends into the San Rafael Mountains, for an estimated $ 28.5 million. dollars.
He promptly renamed the property "Neverland" after referring to the fantasy island "Neverland" in the story of Peter Pan, one of Michael's favorite characters, who, like him, was a boy who never grew up.
Never in history has anyone's home been so totally dedicated to something so wonderfully created primarily for the beneficial healing found within Neverland, for needy, disabled and terminally ill children. Neverland today is a cultural treasure.
In the real estate business, empty land is not an asset. It doesn't make any money. The ranch is not easily accessible and residents do not want the area to be prepared for an avalanche of tourists in its quiet and untouched neighborhood.
No money can be made from Neverland. Because there is no ROI (Return On Investment). Unfortunately, Neverland cannot become a "tourist attraction" like Graceland.
Ron Burkle - investor and philanthropist was a good friend of Michael, giving him shelter and helping with financial problems when he needed it. Burkle bought Neverland, formally known now as the Sycamore Valley Ranch, for about $ 22 million in 2020.
Rumors suggest that the possible restoration is due to the beginning of the filming of Michael Jackson's biographical feature, but the documents reveal that, there are no requests for authorization yet. Whatever it is, fans will be forever grateful for Ron Burkle's efforts to restore ours, Neverland.

With the small rumblings about repairs and restorations commencing at Neverland, another hypothetical I always wished for...
Daydreaming about Burkle & estate partnering to produce "Virtual Neverland" - An interactive VR-powered escapism that would open the gates from afar.

Ron Burkle Owns Neverland, but His Collection of Homes Extends Far Beyond Michael Jackson’s Ranch. The 2,700-acre Los Olivos, Calif., estate might be his most famous, but the billionaire investor has a cache of homes including Greenacres in Beverly Hills and a volcano-inspired house in Palm Springs. A look at some of his most notable properties.
It’s nearly 100 degrees and bone dry on a June day at Neverland Ranch. A representative for the property’s new owner, the California billionaire Ron Burkle, gives a tour. Every time our all-terrain vehicle hits a bump on the trail, a cloud of dust follows. A neighbor’s cows are permitted to graze on the ranch under the hot sun. With every chomp, it’s hoped that they’ll reduce the scale of potential wildfires that plague the area.
When most people think of Michael Jackson’s iconic ranch, which was known for the superstar’s private railroad, zoo and amusement park, they assume it covers only a few acres. In reality, it’s roughly 2,700 acres, said Tim Gleason, Mr. Burkle’s on-staff design curator. The property spans almost as far as the eye can see. From one of the ranch’s highest points, Mr. Gleason points at a huge piece of flat grassland dotted with large trees. The ranch workers call it Africa, or the Serengeti.
When Mr. Burkle, the 68-year-old billionaire investor, Pittsburgh Penguins owner and Democratic fundraiser, bought the property for $22 million late last year, rumors were rampant that he planned to turn the ranch into a destination Soho House, since he is an owner of the private club brand. But Mr. Burkle maintains that he has few grand plans beyond restoring the property and describes the deal as a land grab. “It’s just not a bad thing to have your money tied up in,” he says.
′′ I just needed flowers and life again Ron Burkle told what's going on with Michael Jackson's old house ! Michael Jackson hasn't lived there in more than 15 years," Burkle said, adding that he fell in love with the land and bought the ranch from his friend Tom Barrack, an investor who runs Colony Capital.
The ongoing construction at the ranch has fueled speculation about whether Burkle might be interested in turning Neverland into a Soho House club. But Mr. Burkle said that was not the case.
He said his team was working to restore parts of the ranch that were falling apart through neglect, such as replacing pipes. The train station, modeled after one at Disneyland, and damaged by carpenter birds, is being restored, as is Neverland's flower watch.
Many roads have also been improved. Burkle said he hopes one day one of the trains will be operational again. ′′ It ' was a depressing place. It wasn ' t the beautiful place before. I ' needed flowers and life again."

Ron Burkle talks about Neverland

By

July 2, 2021

In a recent and rare interview for the Wall Street Journal, Ron Burkle finally talks about his latest purchase: The Neverland Ranch.

The News agent had a private tour of the property and it is revealed that the neighbor’s cows are still permitted on the 2,700 acres property.

Burkle, 68 years old, bought the property last year for $22 million and rumors had it that he planned to turn the ranch into a private club destination. But Mr. Burkle maintains that he has few grand plans beyond restoring the property and describes the deal as a land grab. “It’s just not a bad thing to have your money tied up in,” he says.

Burkle also owned, restored and sold the Frank Lloyd Wright’s Ennis House in Los Feliz where 3T and Michael filmed “WHY”.

Burkle and Michael Jackson, Neverland’s original owner, had a history. Mr. Burkle said he visited the ranch in the mid-2000s as part of a program for disadvantaged children and hit it off with Mr. Jackson. He said the pop star called him the next day to say that he liked him and that, from now on, he would buy all his groceries at Mr. Burkle’s stores. Mr. Burkle served as an adviser to the singer on business matters, when the pop star was working to stave off financial disaster.

He said that their relationship had little to do with the purchase and he was curious about the ranch and the remains of the train tracks, the empty zoo enclosures… “Michael Jackson hasn’t lived there in over 15 years,” he said, adding that he had fallen in love with the land and purchased the ranch from his friend Tom Barrack, an investor who heads Colony Capital, which co-owned the property with the Jackson estate after Michael Jackson defaulted on a loan.

Ongoing construction at the ranch has fed speculation about whether Burkle may be interested in turning Neverland into a Soho House but he said it isn’t the case. He said his team is working on restoring parts of the ranch that were falling apart from neglect, such as replacing pipes. The train station, modeled after one at Disneyland, and which had been damaged by woodpeckers, is being restored, as is the Neverland flower clock. Many of the roads have also been upgraded. Mr. Burkle said he hopes that one day one of the trains may run again.

“It was kind of a depressing place. It wasn’t the beautiful place that it was before. It just needed flowers and life in it again,” he said.

He hasn’t talked about the fact that rides were put back within the property and what his intentions are for the future as the restorations are still ongoing.

The property also includes a 12,000-square-foot Normandy-style mansion, guesthouses, a swimming pool with a cabana, a basketball court, a tennis court and a 50-seat movie theater. Mr. Gleason said the homes are in good condition.

It is still unclear to what the plans for the property to be but we will keep you updated.
