Katherine Jackson Says Her Nephew Is Abusing Her
Katherine Jackson Says Her Nephew Is Abusing Her
Katherine Jackson is the victim of elder abuse at the hands of her nephew ... according to legal docs she just filed in Los Angeles.
Katherine just obtained a restraining order against Trent Lamar Jackson. In her papers she claims he is an "abusive con man who manipulated Mrs. Jackson for years so he could assume control of her finances, stay rent-free in her guest house and estrange her from her children."
She says Trent was taking from her accounts and she has to hide in her closet to speak to her kids so she can speak freely. Katherine says Rebbie and some of her other kids are willing to testify against Trent.
Katherine also fears physical harm, saying, "Now that he knows his conduct will be revealed, she fears what he may do to her upon her return."
The 86-year-old says she tried to fire Trent as a 6-figure driver on February 3rd, with the Sheriff present, but he took off just as the deputies and her lawyer arrived at her home.
The judge's order requires Trent to stay 100 yards clear of her and to return all his keys to the home.

Re: Katherine Jackson Says Her Nephew Is Abusing Her
The nephew ordered to stay away from Katherine Jackson says he knows what is really going on ... some of Michael Jackson's siblings are plotting a money grab against the MJ estate.
A judge clearly sees it differently, siding with Katherine, who claims Trent Jackson has been fleecing her out of money and isolating her from her family. Trent, who Katherine says she is now scared he may physically harm her, has been ordered to stay 100 yards away from her and her home.
Sources close to Trent tell TMZ, he's adamant he did nothing untoward and believes some of MJ's brothers and sisters want him out of the way so they have a clear path to Katherine and MJ's estate.
We're told Trent believes some of Katherine's kids will now try and influence her to put pressure on Michael's estate to give her a bigger piece of the pie, and he believes they want to cut themselves in on the action.

Re: Katherine Jackson Says Her Nephew Is Abusing Her
Interview between Trent and Nancy Grace on 'Crime Stories': (Alan Duke joins in too). It is a very interesting interview.
Trent says that La Toya wasn't aware that K was going away until just beforehand. K didn't want to 'get her passport'. She didn't want to fly overseas.
He says Jermaine and Rebbie are supported financially by K.
Bigi, TJ, his family, 10-12 employees are all in the house daily, and Paris and Prince visit often. There have been no suggestions from anyone else in the house that K has been mistreated by Trent. He sounds a very sensible and reasonable man....

Michael Jackson's Cousin Must Avoid King of Pop'a Mom http://www.nydailynews.com/entertain...icle-1.2986156

NEW YORK DAILY NEWS

The cousin of Michael Jackson accused of abusing and exploiting the King of Pop's mom failed to get a restraining order against him tossed on Wednesday.
Trent Jackson, 52, claimed through his lawyer he is not a threat to Katherine Jackson and believes the matriarch doesn't actually want him fired as her driver and personal assistant.
"This guy is a Teddy bear," attorney Ron Rale told the Daily News during a break in the hearing in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
The court denied the request, saying the pop family’s matriarch wasn't required to attend in person after filing a sworn statement through her lawyer Wednesday morning.
The judge instead granted a continuance until a follow-up hearing March 23. Rale said he wants to depose Katherine Jackson in the meantime. Katherine, 86, has been away in London since she won a temporary restraining order Feb. 8, her lawyers said.
The stay-away order bars Trent — who is her nephew-in-law — from entering the gated community in Calabasas, where he was living in her guest house. It also orders him to return all keys, credit cards and vehicles previously used in her name. "She doesn't want to come back until the restraining order is made permanent," Katherine's lawyer Juliana Edwards told The News.
"Clearly he's fighting it," she said. Rale said his client has moved out of Katherine Jackson's mansion and will abide by the stay-away order pending the next court date. "My belief is that if she were here, she'd tell you how much she loves Trent," he said.
Katherine's filing last month claimed Trent systematically controlled her communication with outsiders and intimidated her into submission while he accessed her bank accounts without permission. "An abusive con-man, Trent did not carry out one incident of abuse — (his) constant, sometimes subtle, emotional abuse was effective in making Mrs. Jackson confused and unsure of what was happening to her," the paperwork obtained by The News said. "Trent has made it his business to regulate Mrs. Jackson's interactions with her children — screening phone calls, not relaying messages, not allowing privacy during visits or phone calls," it claimed.
"Because he managed to get a key to her bedroom, he opens her door at his will with no regard to her privacy," it states. "Mrs. Jackson has to hide in her closet to speak to her kids so she can speak freely." It alleged that on one occasion, Trent pulled the car over while they were on a drive and yelled at Katherine to reveal what she had discussed with a close family friend.
The filing also accused Trent of tricking the King of Pop's mom into taking a trip to Indiana that she thought would be brief. He kept her there for more than a month, the paperwork claimed. "She fears he could physically harm her for terminating him," the filing said.

Katherine Jackson is in the middle of a brewing family war, but Jermaine Jackson says he's only getting involved out of concern for his mother's health.
We got Jermaine leaving a hearing in L.A. Wednesday for Katherine's elderly abuse case. As we reported, the Jackson matriarch is accusing her nephew, Trent Lamar Jackson, of being an "abusive con-man."
Jermaine told us he's siding with Mom over his cousin, but not for any financial windfall ... as Trent has claimed.
Katherine wasn't in court, and ultimately the hearing was postponed because of that. Trent's attorney says he's served a notice have Katherine deposed on March 15, but her attorney says she won't show for that either.
When and if this gets to court ... sounds like Jermaine will be ready and willing to testify on Katherine's behalf.
Attorney wants to depose Jackson family matriarch in restraining order case http://mynewsla.com/hollywood/2017/0...ng-order-case/
An attorney for Katherine Jackson’s nephew said Wednesday he wants to take the deposition of the Jackson family matriarch, who’s currently in London, before a hearing is held on whether to extend a temporary restraining order against his client.
Ronald Rail said Trent Lamar Jackson has a right to have his counsel cross-examine Katherine Jackson, whose lawyer, Julianna Edwards, said her 86- year-old client will not return home until the order is extended.
Edwards submitted Katherine Jackson’s sworn declaration to the court Wednesday, and Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Carol Boas Goodson rescheduled the hearing for March 23.
The TRO was granted in February. Court papers submitted on behalf of Katherine Jackson allege that her nephew wanted to maintain control of her finances and live in her guest house without having to pay rent.
Court papers submitted by Katherine Jackson’s attorneys allege that family members have witnessed ongoing abuse by her nephew, who once worked as her driver and is the son of Luther Jackson, brother of Joe Jackson, her ex- husband.
Trent Jackson was ordered under the TRO to return all keys, passwords and combinations for his aunt’s property and to stop obtaining access to her bank accounts. He also has been ordered to remain 100 yards from her and to not enter the gated community where she resides.
Rail called his client “a teddy bear” who was personally hired by Michael Jackson before he died to protect his mother. He said that anyone who sat down and talked with him would find him likeable.
Rail said Trent Jackson will testify during the hearing, which the lawyer predicts will last about two days. Rail said his client has moved out of Katherine Jackson’s property.
Several Jackson family members, including Jermaine Jackson, were present in the hallway for most of the morning.

Re: Katherine Jackson Says Her Nephew Is Abusing Her
Katherine Jackson, 86, is 'under a doctor's care in London' as she claims nephew-in-law terrorized her with hidden cameras in LA home
By Rachel Mcgrath For Dailymail.com

Katherine Jackson, mother of the late Michael Jackson, has told a court that she is too afraid of her nephew-in-law Trent Lamar Jackson to return to her home in Los Angeles.
According to the NY Daily News, the Jackson matriarch, who is 86, said in legal documents filed Wednesday that she is 'under a doctor's care' in London, England, 'in part because of the stress this situation with Trent is causing me.'
She was granted a temporary restraining order February 9 against Trent after alleging she is the victim of elder abuse and that he has neglected her health needs.

Living in fear: Katherine Jackson, 86, (pictured in 2014) has said she is too afraid of her nephew-in-law Trent Jackson to leave London and return home to Calabasas, California
Trent, 52, who is related to Katherine via her husband Joe's side of the family, had been living in a guest house in the grounds of her Calabasas, California, home after serving for years as her personal driver.
Katherine states in her filing that she was bullied by Trent and resorted to desperate measures to escape his constant monitoring.
'I believe he has put cameras and bugs in my home, so the only place I can try and have a private conversation is in my bathroom,' she wrote.
She also claimed, according to TMZ, that she believes Trent has copied the key to her bedroom door, and she gets dressed in her closet out of fear he will walk in on her unexpectedly.
'I used to be very social with my friends, like playing Scrabble, walking around in the park, sharing meals, but Trent has given them various reasons why I am not available,' she added.

Court order: Katherine claimed Trent, 52, (pictured) placed 'cameras and bugs' in her home. A judge in LA Wednesday refused Trent's request to void a temporary restraining order against him obtained by Katherine on February 9 after she claimed to be the victim of elder abuse
Trent, the son of Joe Jackson's half-brother, attended a court hearing in LA Wednesday seeking to have the TRO against him removed.
The temporary restraining order banned Trent from using Katherine's credit cards, staying in the guest house and coming within 100 yards of her.
He claimed through his lawyer he is not a threat to Katherine, the NY Daily News reported.
The judge denied his motion to dismiss and set another court hearing for March 23.

It's complicated: Katherine is the mother of late superstar Michael Jackson and was by his side during his 2005 molestation trial as was his father Joe Jackson, pictured March that year
In a sworn statement, Katherine's daughter Rebbie, who is with her in London, said that Trent failed to call paramedics when her mother 'passed out' as Trent was driving her to Las Vegas.
'Instead of calling an ambulance, Trent called one of my nephews who told him to take her to the hospital,' Rebbie wrote.
'The doctors at the hospital said she was dehydrated and had high blood pressure. Instead of bringing her home where she wanted to be, Trent took her to a hotel in Santa Monica – again away from her kids.'
Rebbie claims Trent is looking to control her mother for his own financial and personal benefit.

KATHERINE JACKSON
PROPOSAL FOR GRANDSON TO SETTLE FAMILY WAR
3/3/17 3:50 AM PST
Katherine Jackson's fate and fortune may lie in the hands of one of her grandsons ... TMZ has learned.
Trent Jackson, Michael's cousin, and his attorney Ron Rale want TJ Jackson, Michael's nephew, to sit down with Katherine alone and decide who's the victim and who's the villain in what has become a family war.
TMZ broke the story ... Katherine has filed a legal doc claiming Trent has committed elder abuse against her and fleeced her to boot. But, we've now learned Trent and his lawyer have a plan to put the dispute to bed and, at the same time, cast suspicion on the motive of other Jackson relatives.
Rale's proposing that TJ -- the one person whose family loyalty has never been challenged -- sit down with Katherine to discuss the situation at hand. If at the end of the sit-down TJ believes Trent has done harm to Michael's mom, he'll leave for good and if Katherine wants him to stay, he will.
Trent, we're told, believes TJ's one-on-one with Katherine will not only absolve him of any wrongdoing, in the process he will cast doubt on the motives of other family members ... family members he believes are trying to get him out of the way so they have a clear path to the matriarch's bank account.
Trent and Rale are suspicious of other family members ... especially after a 2012 incident in which Trent and Michael's kids reported Katherine missing, only to learn some of her kids had taken her to Arizona. They essentially called it a kidnapping, saying some family members were trying to brainwash her into challenging Michael's Estate in a money grab.
Michael cut his siblings and his dad out of his will. The Estate pays Katherine a monthly stipend and when she dies the balance of Michael's fortune is divided between his 3 kids and various charities.
the one person whose family loyalty has never been challenged.

Re: Katherine Jackson Says Her Nephew Is Abusing Her
Hearing in elder abuse case of Michael Jackson's mother delayed
http://www.nydailynews.com/entertain...icle-1.3007361
A critical hearing in Katherine Jackson's elder abuse case was delayed Thursday amid a new battle to force her return from London.
Lawyers for nephew Trent Jackson won the continuance saying the matriarch must appear in person for the court to be sure she wants a permanent restraining order barring Trent from her life.
"She needs to be here. If she's here and she says Trent abused her, so be it," Trent's lawyer Ron Rale said outside the courtroom.
"He loves his aunt. He cares for his aunt. He wants the best for her," Rale said.
Katherine won a temporary restraining order against Trent last month and claimed in a follow-up sworn statement she's "tired of being subjected to his manipulation, mistreatment, abuse of my finances and bullying."
She said Trent, the nephew of her husband Joe Jackson, isolated her from her kids in recent years, screened her calls, copied the key to her bedroom, yelled at her, stole her money and refused to call 911 once when she thought she was having a stroke or seizure.
"I have been afraid to fire him out of fear of his retaliation," she wrote. "This time I am clear and resolute … Enough is enough."
One of her lawyers said Thursday that it's "ridiculous" to force the Jackson family matriarch to return from London — where she's staying with daughter Rebbie — to prove she truly wants him fired.
"They're trying to get an 86-year-old woman to come from London. They're continuing (this matter) over and over, making Katherine come and face this guy. It makes no sense. She's asked him to leave, and he doesn't want to go. It's more of the abuse. She has to spend more money on counsel. It's just ridiculous," lawyer Joy Bass said outside court.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Rolf Treu delayed the hearing until Tuesday and ordered several witnesses to return for possible testimony. He's expected to rule on whether Katherine must appear in person by then.
One witness subpoenaed by Trent was Tito Jackson's son TJ Jackson, a relative who's acted as a co-guardian of Michael Jackson's three kids along with Katherine.
Katherine won a temporary restraining order against her nephew Trent Jackson last month.
TJ looked uncomfortable and waved hello to Katherine's supporters as he was called into the gallery by the judge and ordered to return next week.
KATHERINE JACKSON
TELLS JUDGE, TRENT'S SO BAD
I'M HIDING OUT IN LONDON (TMZ.com)
3/25/17 12:59 AM PST
Katherine Jackson -- or someone claiming to be Katherine Jackson -- has doubled down in the family war, claiming again Michael's cousin, Trent, has been stealing from and bullying the matriarch.
Katherine has been MIA for months after allegedly leveling claims Trent has pilfered $40k out of her bank account and manipulated her into buying him a Cadillac. She's also claimed elder abuse.
Trent has said it's all BS ... that Katherine isn't really driving this, but rather it's Jermaine and some of her other kids in order to get control of MJ's Estate.
In the new declaration -- obtained by TMZ -- Katherine says she's in London because she's scared to come home for fear Trent will now seek revenge on her. She says she's now filled with stress and anxiety, and she's now taking new meds to cope.
Katherine also says she's had meeting with social workers from Adult Protective Services and they will vouch for the authenticity of her claims.
The judge in the case is deciding whether he'll require Katherine's presence in court for the case against Trent to go forward.

Katherine Jackson returning to America to testify against nephew in elder abuse case
She’s got to be there – so she will be.
Katherine Jackson will fly back from London to testify in person at a hearing to make her restraining order against her nephew Trent Jackson permanent, a source told the Daily News Wednesday morning.
Her lawyer later confirmed the travel reversal during a Tuesday afternoon hearing.
The petitioner is returning from London and needs time to re-acclimate after her journey (to) testify in this matter,” lawyer Julianna Edwards told Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Rolf Treu.
Katherine Jackson must testify in person in elder abuse battle
The judge continued the matter to April 25, when Katherine is expected to take the witness stand.
Trent’s lawyer Ron Rale said he hopes the warring relatives reach a private settlement in the meantime.
“We’re exploring resolution of the case,” he said in court. “We’re hoping to resolve this matter.”
Katherine was hoping to remain with daughter Janet Jackson and new grandson Eissa Al Mana in London and simply submit a sworn statement, but Judge Treu ruled Tuesday that declarations would not be allowed as “evidence in chief” during a mini-trial that started Tuesday.

KATHERINE JACKSON WON'T APPEAR AGAINST NEPHEW IN COURT
3/28/2017 7:06 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE
Katherine Jackson will be a no-show Tuesday in a case that has become a family war over control of Michael Jackson's estate.
Katherine has filed for a permanent restraining order against her nephew, Trent Jackson, who has been caring for her since Michael died in 2009. The matriarch filed a declaration saying she thinks Trent has stolen from her and committed elder abuse against her, something Trent has strongly denied.
Katherine is in London, where she's been for months. She has not been seen but some of her kids say she's scared to come back to the U.S. because she's afraid of Trent.
Trent says Katherine's being manipulated by Jermaine and some of her other kids, adding the kids made the stories up and Katherine may not have even signed the declaration.
Trent points to a crazy incident in 2012, where Jermaine and some of the other kids took her to Arizona. At the time Paris went nuclear, saying the her grandma had essentially been kidnapped.
The judge has indicated he may boot the case if Katherine doesn't show, so we'll know at 1:30 PM PDT Tuesday.

Katherine Jackson must testify in person in elder abuse battle against nephew Trent Jackson, judge rules
Katherine Jackson must leave her daughter Janet Jackson’s London home and take the witness stand in California if she wants her voice heard in her elder abuse battle with nephew Trent Jackson, a judge ruled Tuesday.
It was the first day of testimony in her restraining order trial in Los Angeles County Superior Court, and Judge Rolf Treu said he wouldn’t accept a sworn statement from the King of Pop’s 86-year-old mom in place of her live appearance and cross-examination.
It wasn’t immediately clear if the ruling would sway the matriarch to return home amid Trent's claims her written statement filed with the court might have been doctored, her lawyer Joy Bass told the Daily News outside court.
“I’ll have to ask her tonight,” Bass said. "I speak to her everyday."
Hearing in elder abuse case of Michael Jackson's mother delayed
She said Katherine voluntarily traveled to the UK to be with daughter Janet Jackson, who welcomed her first child with husband Wissam Al Mana in early January.
“She went there to see the baby,” Bass said. “That’s her baby having a baby.”
Bass said Katherine is now “under a doctor’s care” in London and is a “vulnerable” senior who shouldn’t be forced to put her health at risk for live testimony.
Bass and her co-counsel Julianna Edwards called their first three witnesses Tuesday but got shut down on several fronts as they sought testimony on Trent's alleged mistreatment.
Katherine Jackson seeks medical care over nephew's alleged abuse
First the judge ruled a social worker from Adult Protective Services didn’t have to share his case file or answer questions even though Edwards said Katherine “condones the release of the records.”
Katherine’s head of security Stephen Caines testified that he spoke to Katherine in the UK by phone and later changed some locks in her house — but the judge stopped him from saying whether Katherine told him she feared Trent.
Janice Smith, who’s served as Katherine’s personal assistant for decades, testified she witnessed Katherine acting “withdrawn” and “fearful” around Trent, but the judge sustained an objection and wouldn’t let her answer whether she saw Trent acting “mean or abrasive.”
Katherine won a temporary restraining order against Trent in February that she wants the court to make permanent. She claimed in her sworn statement she’s “tired of being subjected to his manipulation, mistreatment, abuse of my finances and bullying.”
Michael Jackson's cousin must avoid King of Pop's mom
She said Trent — her driver and the nephew of her husband Joe Jackson — isolated her from her kids in recent years, screened her calls, copied the key to her bedroom, yelled at her, stole money and refused to call 911 when she thought she was having a stroke or seizure.
“I have been afraid to fire him out of fear of his retaliation,” she wrote. “This time I am clear and resolute…Enough is enough.”
Trent has denied mistreating Katherine.
“The evidence is not going to show any abuse by Mr. Jackson. What the evidence will show is that this case is eerily similar to what happened in 2012,” his lawyer Ron Rale said in court Tuesday.
Katherine Jackson accuses nephew-in-law Trent of elder abuse
He said back in 2012, Katherine was essentially kidnapped when she was whisked away to Arizona by several of her adult kids who then mounted a challenge to the executors of Michael Jackson’s estate.
Lawyers for Katherine and her grandson TJ Jackson went to court saying Katherine went missing from her California home while she was supposed to be caring for Michael Jackson's three kids Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket, who were all minors at the time.
Katherine’s adult kids Jermaine, Randy, Janet and Rebbie countered that their mother was resting at the Arizona spa, per her doctor’s orders.
A judge granted co-guardianship of Paris, Prince and Blanket to TJ during the family feud.
In recent filings for Katherine’s new restraining order, Jermaine said Trent turned violent when he and Janet tried to visit Katherine’s house amid the kidnapping allegations to tell Paris, Prince and Blanket their grandmother was “fine.”
“Trent started locking doors,” Jermaine recalled of the visit. “Trent hit my nephew in the jaw.”
Rale said Tuesday he wants Katherine to appear in person to put all the speculation about her true wishes to rest.
He said it would be a “lack of due process” if Trent isn't allowed to cross-examine her.
“It would not be a vicious cross examination,” Rale said. “If she, from her heart, said she felt bullied (by Trent), we would honor that.”

Michael Jackson’s mom afraid of her ‘teddy bear’ nephew?
Katherine Jackson’s longtime personal assistant testified Tuesday that the 86-year-old Jackson family matriarch appeared afraid of a nephew who served as her driver, and against whom she is seeking an extension of a stay-away order.
“On several occasions I have seen it,” Janice Smith said of Katherine Jackson’s frightened demeanor when around Trent Lamar Jackson.
Smith, who has been Katherine Jackson’s right-hand person for 23 years and has worked for the family for 36 years, said Trent Jackson also has “constantly” tried to prevent her from speaking with her boss during calls to her Calabasas home. Smith said he also made changes in where the Jackson family received mail.
Prior to the start of testimony, Ronald Rale, Trent Jackson’s attorney, convinced Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Rolf M. Treu that sworn written declarations submitted on behalf of Katherine Jackson and other witnesses are not proper substitutes for live testimony.
Treu ruled that although declarations are permitted in lieu of testimony in hearings for restraining orders, requests for permanent orders require the witness’ presence.
Treu, who is presiding over the non-jury hearing, also found that Katherine Jackson, who has been living in London, is still a resident of California and that the subpoena served on one of her attorneys to get the Jackson family matriarch to court was valid.
The judge said he found it “incongruous” that Katherine Jackson’s lawyers were arguing that their client was a resident of England and not subject to being subpoenaed to a hearing in California while at the same time asking that state’s courts to provide her with protection.
Rale said he intends to call Katherine Jackson to the stand later in the hearing.
The TRO was granted in February. Court papers submitted on behalf of Katherine Jackson allege that her nephew wanted to maintain control of her finances and live in her guest house without having to pay rent.
The papers also allege that family members have witnessed ongoing abuse by her nephew, who is the son of Luther Jackson, brother of her ex-husband Joe Jackson.
Trent Jackson was ordered under the TRO to return all keys, passwords and combinations for his aunt’s property and to stop obtaining access to her bank accounts. He also has been ordered to remain 100 yards from her and to not enter the gated community where she resides.
Rale has called his client “a teddy bear” who was personally hired by Michael Jackson before he died to protect his mother. He said his client is concerned that his aunt felt she even had to make the trip to London.
Rale said his client has moved out of Katherine Jackson’s Calabasas home.

Katherine Jackson ordered to testify in elder abuse case
March 29 2017
Katherine Jackson is reportedly under doctor's care in London.
Katherine Jackson will have to take to the witness stand as part of her elder abuse case against nephew Trent, a judge has ruled.
The 86-year-old obtained a restraining order against Trent, who worked as her driver and looked after finances and wellbeing, in February (17) after she claimed he was "an abusive con man" who had been emotionally abusing her and trying to take control of her money for years.
Trent denied the claims and filed legal documents claiming Katherine's son Jermaine, the brother of the late Michael Jackson, was masterminding the whole case in his attempt to control Michael's estate.
Trent questioned whether Katherine, who didn't appear in court, actually wrote the declaration herself and whether she had any idea was happening while she was in London with her daughter Janet.
Trent asked a judge to either dismiss the case or force Katherine to appear in court, as he believed she would back him in person.
On Tuesday (28Mar17), Judge Rolf Treu ruled that he would not accept a sworn statement from Katherine, and she will have to appear in person in Los Angeles County Superior Court for her testimony and cross-examination in the case.
However, Katherine's lawyer Joy Bass told the New York Daily News she was unsure whether the ruling would be enough to convince the matriarch to return to America.
Bass added that Katherine, who travelled to the U.K. to support Janet after the birth of her first child, is currently "under a doctor's care" in London, and shouldn't be forced to jeopardise her health in order to deliver a live testimony.
Judge Treu's decision was the last in a string of legal blows for Bass, whose previous attempts to seek testimony over Trent's alleged abuse failed. Her team's first attempt, asking an Adult Protective Services' social worker about his case file, hit a roadblock when the judge ruled the employee didn't have to share the file or answer questions.
Judge Treu also stopped Katherine's head of security, Stephen Caines, from testifying whether Katherine told him she was scared of Trent, and while Katherine's former personal assistant Janice Smith admitted she had seen her former boss acting "withdrawn and fearful" around Trent, Judge Treu sustained an objection prohibiting her from answering whether she had ever seen Trent acting "mean or abrasive".

UNDER HEAVY BIOLOGICAL GUARD

Katherine Jackson is back in Los Angeles, and one of the kids Trent believes is masterminding the court case against him almost gymnastically shielded her from questions about the family war.
TMZ broke the story ... Katherine headed back to L.A. from London after a judge essentially ruled her case against Trent couldn't go forward without her present in court.
Katherine's daughter, Rebbie, blocked our photog who was asking about Katherine's allegations that Trent stole from her and abused her ... something he denies.
Trent believes Rebbie and Jermaine Jackson are manipulating Katherine into going against Trent, although the endgame isn't clear.
We're told Trent is willing to walk away from the whole thing, so it's unclear why the case is pressing forward.
Our sources say the 86-year-old will be seeing doctors ... and it's certainly possible her lawyer could ask the judge at the next hearing to keep her off the stand because of her age and health.

KATHERINE JACKSON KEPT UNDER WRAPS ... AWAY FROM GRANDKIDS http://m.tmz.com/#article/2017/04/01...ids-no-access/
Katherine Jackson has been stashed away from her grandchildren since returning to Los Angeles ... out of fear they'll reprogram grandma and derail her legal battle with Trent Jackson.
Sources connected to the family tell us Michael's children -- Paris, Prince and Blanket -- didn't even know Katherine was coming back and as of Friday, had not seen her. Remember, she flew back from London Wednesday night, and her daughter Rebbie desperately tried to block our camera at LAX.
Other family sources say rather than taking the matriarch to her own home, she was secretly taken to one of her children's homes -- and it has everything to do with the elder abuse lawsuit.
Remember, the main reason Katherine even came back is to testify against her nephew, Trent. He's made it clear he believes Rebbie and Jermaine Jackson are masterminding the whole case in an effort to gain control of Katherine's money.
We're told Trent's camp thinks Katherine's kids are worried Paris and Prince will encourage grandma to drop the lawsuit. You'll recall ... Paris went off on Jermaine and other siblings in 2012 when Katherine was taken to Arizona for nearly 2 weeks. She equated it to a kidnapping.
Our sources point out the fact Katherine still hasn't seen her beloved grandchildren -- after being gone for 2 months -- is a strong sign someone doesn't want a repeat of 2012.

MICHAEL JACKSON'S KIDS DO FAMILY DINNER, BUT WHERES GRANDMA?
Michael Jackson's sons, Prince and Blanket, got together with a few cousins for dinner in Bev Hills ... where Grandma Katherine had to be the hot topic.
Tito's son TJ Jackson, who's been legal guardian of MJ's kid, was at Honor Bar Saturday evening with the group -- and we know he's smack in the middle of Katherine's battle with Trent Jackson.
TMZ broke the story ... Trent's lawyers want TJ to sit down with Katherine and mediate her elder abuse claims against Trent. That could be difficult for TJ right now, because Katherine's been kept in hiding -- away from Michael's kids -- since she flew back to L.A. last week.
Paris was not at the Saturday dinner because she attended the GLAAD Awards, but this was our first glimpse at Prince's awesome MJ tattoo in public.

Re: Katherine Jackson Says Her Nephew Is Abusing Her
http://www.showbiz411.com/2017/04/09...g-arrangements
The timing of Janet Jackson’s divorce/separation is interesting in that it lines up with her mother’s current living arrangements.
I am told that Katherine Jackson, now back in L.A. after visiting Janet in London for three months, is now residing in Janet’s condo in Westwood with her aide and security. Janet, Reebie, and Jermaine do not want their mother to return to her Calabasas home while nephew Trent is living there.
But last week Katherine didn’t show up in court for a hearing in which she accuses Trent of elder abuse. And on top of that, Katherine’s grandson TJ and his family are living on the compound with Trent, and with Blanket Jackson, Michael’s eldest son. Katherine and TJ are Blanket’s co-guardians.
The Trent Jackson story is very fishy. Katherine Jackson’s papers against him sound like they were written by her greedy children, the same ones who “kidnapped” her in 2012. They are still trying to get their hands on some part of the Michael Jackson estate.
To that end, Katherine filed suit against the Michael Jackson executors a couple of weeks ago despite being taken care of like a queen by the estate. It’s questionable if Mrs. Jackson knows all these details.
The estate is also taking care of Joseph Jackson. But when the Jackson elders pass from this Earth, the estate will go to Michael’s three children. If the siblings can’t lay claim to the money while their mother is alive, they are out in the cold.
Amazing, isn’t it? The fight for Michael Jackson’s money among his relatives continues. Yet his children are going out in the world and representing him beautifully. The kids are alright. But that original family seems to have learned nothing.

Paris Jackson 'fears' for younger brother Blanket, 15, as he 'lives alone on family estate without legal guardians Katherine and TJ'
By Jason Chester for MailOnline
Published: 13:15 BST, 11 April 2017 | Updated: 14:12 BST, 11 April 2017
Paris Jackson has ‘expressed concern’ for the welfare of her teenage brother after discovering he is living alone on the sprawling Jackson estate.
According to TMZ the successful model, 19, is worried about 15-year old Michael, Jnr – commonly referred to as ‘Blanket’ – as he reportedly lives at the Calabasas property without cousin Tito Joe, 38, and grandmother Katherine, 86, the guardians he was assigned following his pop legend father Michael's sudden death in 2009.
The publication claim matriarch Katherine is recuperating with her oldest child Rebbie, 66, in Los Angeles after spending a reported two months in London, where she is thought to have received medical treatment.
TJ is understood to be sharing supervisory duties with his wife Frances, meaning at least one of them is always present at the Jackson ranch, but Paris is worried about her brother’s prolonged separation from his close family members.
She is also believed to harbour concerns about Rebbie’s alleged influence over Katherine, who has reportedly not spoken to her grandchildren since flying to London in January.
Despite her fears, Blanket is believe to be excelling at his private school, where he is described as ‘extremely social’ and has been getting straight A’s.

Katherine traveled to the United Kingdom with daughter Rebbie shortly before winning a restraining order against nephew-in-law Trent Lamar Jackson.
According to the NY Daily News she said in legal documents filed in March that she is 'under a doctor's care' in London, 'in part because of the stress this situation with Trent is causing me.'
She was granted a temporary restraining order February 9 against Trent after alleging she is the victim of elder abuse and that he has neglected her health needs.
Trent, the son of Joe Jackson's half-brother, attended a court hearing in LA Wednesday seeking to have the TRO against him removed.
The temporary restraining order banned Trent from using Katherine's credit cards, staying in the guest house and coming within 100 yards of her.
MailOnline has contacted Paris's representatives for further comment.

PARIS JACKSONWORRIED ABOUT BLANKET LIVING WITHOUT GUARDIAN MJ WANTED
4/11/17 5:50 PM PST
Paris Jackson is deeply concerned her little brother, Blanket, is essentially living alone without the guardian Michael Jackson wanted in the event he died.
Multiple Jackson family sources tell us, Paris is especially upset with her aunt Rebbie, whom she believes has been lording over her grandmother ... keeping her away from all of Michael Jackson's kids. Everyone we've spoken with says Paris loves her grandma and is worried Rebbie and several other siblings of Michael's have intentionally put a wall up to control the matriarch.
Paris has complained Blanket is a 15-year-old boy essentially living by himself in Katherine's Calabasas home. Katherine has not been back to her home since January -- she was in London for 2 months and then returned to L.A. but she's staying at Rebbie's -- and Paris feels her little brother is living without real family.
We're told TJ Jackson and his wife split duties and at least one of them will stay at Katherine's home to supervise Blanket, but Paris thinks that's not good enough.
Our sources also say Katherine has not spoken to Paris, Prince, Blanket or TJ since she went to London, and Paris blames Rebbie, Randy and some of her other aunts and uncles for the blackout. Paris believes some of her aunts and uncles are trying to control Katherine for financial motives.
The good news ... Blanket, we're told, is getting almost all A's at his private school and has become extremely social ... a big change from when he was almost painfully introverted.

Paris Jackson enjoys family dinner with brother Blanket... after sharing her fears he had been left to live alone
By Dailymail.com Reporter
Published: 21:19 BST, 14 April 2017 | Updated: 00:27 BST, 15 April 2017
She's been vocal about her fears for the stability of her little brother Blanket, born Michael Jr.
And it seems Paris Jackson's concern has led to changes - with the 19-year-old sharing pictures of a happy family dinner on Friday.
The teen and her little brother, 15, were at the center of the meal, sitting surrounded by their friends and family for the relaxed gathering.

The large fete included smiling attendees, a buffet of food, and numerous non-alcoholic beverages.
Paris captioned one of the snaps: 'dinner w da fam'.
The meal comes after Paris expressed deep concern for her brother after discovering he was living 'alone', as reported by TMZ on Tuesday.

The two, along with their brother Prince, were orphaned after their father's untimely death in 2009.
Their grandmother Katherine Jackson, 86, is nominally Blanket's guardian, but has not been at her Calabasas home - where he lives - since January.
Instead after a prolonged stay with daughter Janet in London, Katherine moved into her daughter Rebbie Jackson's Los Angeles home after her return last month.
In her absence Blanket's care fell to his second guardian, Tito Joe Jackson, who split the child's care with his wife.
It was reported that they took turns staying at Katherine's home with Blanket, but Paris felt the prolonged separation from other family members was harmful to Blanket.
Such separation is on behalf of Rebbie claims Paris.
Paris believes Rebbie has been keeping Katherine away from herself, Blanket, and older brother Prince, 20.
Rebbie and several of her siblings have intentionally put a wall up to control the matriarch for financial motives according to insiders.
Despite Paris' fears, Blanket is said to be excelling at his private school, where he is described as ‘extremely social’ and has been getting straight A’s.

La Toya Jackson fears she's being kept away from her elderly mom
The Jacksons remain one of America’s most off the wall families.
La Toya Jackson tells friends that she’s being “kept away” from her 86-year-old mother by her siblings, according to a source close to the Jackson family.
“Mrs. Jackson is not walking well these days, so Toy just wants to spend some alone time with her mom and make sure she’s okay,” says our insider. “Rebbie and Janet are not allowing that.”
We’re told that La Toya says Rebbie, who's been looking after the family matriarch in L.A., refuses to take La Toya's calls and also “controls” their mom’s phone. That same source says Janet has not been sympathetic toward La Toya in her standoff with Rebbie.
Our source went on to say that La Toya has also complained that she's the only Jackson sibling who still consistently keeps tabs on their father Joe “because he didn’t inherit any money from Michael.”

Re: Katherine Jackson Says Her Nephew Is Abusing Her
TMZ is saying the case has been thrown out:
KATHERINE JACKSON ELDER ABUSE CASE AGAINST TRENT THROWN OUT
Katherine Jackson just got shot down by a judge in her bid to get a restraining order against nephew Trent Jackson on grounds he abused her and stole from her.
The judge just booted the case after Katherine's lawyers essentially threw themselves at the mercy of the court, claiming their client was unprepared to go forward. The lawyers asked the judge if the case could be dismissed "without prejudice," meaning it could be refiled. The lawyers also said Katherine never realized this would turn into a full-blown trial.
The judge said today was judgment day, and if she wasn't ready it's case closed forever.
What's interesting ... Katherine has been MIA from almost everyone -- she hasn't even seen her grandchildren since January and she's the one with legal guardianship.
Trent and other members of the family believe Katherine is being manipulated by some of Michael's brothers and sisters so they could gain some control over the MJ Estate.
Katherine filed a declaration for the temporary restraining order in which she made shocking claims against Trent, but Trent and others think she had no idea what she was signing if she signed at all.

Katherine Jackson dismisses restraining order against nephew in elder abuse case
Katherine Jackson dismissed her restraining order petition against nephew Trent Jackson Tuesday – hours before her scheduled testimony.
One source said the King of Pop’s mom got cold feet about a possibly contentious cross-examination and even floated the idea of testifying in the judge’s chambers.
She was “not prepared” for a “full-fledged trial” when she sought the restraining order back in February, her new lawyer Nelson Handy said in court.
"She wants to see if she can take a step back in this matter," Handy said.
In her filing, Katherine asked the court to dismiss her petition without prejudice, meaning she'd be allowed to file it again at a later date.
Handy said she had "business entaglements" with Trent that she hoped to resolve "smoothly" but feared might lead to new problems.
"We don't want her prejudiced from seeking relief in the future," Handy said,
Trent’s lawyers balked, arguing that a dismissal request after the start of a trial had to include good cause or be dismissed with prejudice.
The judge sided with Trent and said Katherine was welcome to come back with new allegations of abuse if they related to future conduct.
In a prior statement filed in support of her petition, Katherine claimed she was "tired of being subjected to (Trent’s) manipulation, mistreatment, abuse of my finances and bullying."
Her statement claimed Trent isolated her from family and friends, copied the key to her bedroom, yelled at her, stolen money and once refused to call 911 when she thought she was having a stroke or seizure.
"I have been afraid to fire him out of fear of his retaliation," her statement said. "This time I am clear and resolute … Enough is enough."
Trent denied the allegations, but their seriousness led his lawyer Ron Rale to call in criminal defense lawyer Philip as his co-counsel.
In a prior statement filed in support of her petition, Katherine claimed she was "tired of being subjected to (Trent’s) manipulation, mistreatment, abuse of my finances and bullying."
Rale said Tuesday he was happy his client prevailed in the “baseless” proceeding.
“He’s truly hurt by this. He genuinely misses his aunt," Rale told the Daily News after the hearing. "He’s not back in her life, but at least this is behind him.”
At a prior hearing, Rale suggested the restraining order case was “eerily similar to what happened in 2012.”
He was referring to the public family feud that erupted in July 2012 when Katherine was whisked away to an Arizona spa by her adult children, including Janet and Jermaine, as they publicly demanded the executors of Michael Jackson's estate step down.
Lawyers for Katherine and her grandson T.J. Jackson went to court saying Katherine was needed back home to care for Michael’s three minor kids, Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket.
A judge granted co-guardianship to T.J., and Katherine later returned, claiming in a filing that her adult children never told her the grandchildren were upset.
She said the phone in her room at the resort didn't work, and it wasn't until the audio on her broken TV set inexplicably revived one morning that she learned she was headline news.
"While there was no picture, I heard a broadcast that stated I was missing," she wrote in statement to the court.
Katherine claimed she had no idea Paris had demanded her return by tweeting, "yes, my grandmother is missing. i haven't spoken with her in a week i want her home now."
In court statements filed with Katherine’s restraining order paperwork, Jermaine said Trent turned violent when he and Janet tried to visit Katherine's house in 2012 to tell Paris, Prince and Blanket their grandmother was "fine."
"Trent started locking doors," Jermaine recalled of the visit. "Trent hit my nephew in the jaw."
Rale said Tuesday that if Katherine’s new lawyers move ahead with a future elder abuse lawsuit, “they better have some different stuff.”

Katherine Jackson Dismisses Restraining Order Against Nephew Trent in Elder Abuse Case
Katherine Jackson dismissed her restraining order on Tuesday against her nephew, Trent, PEOPLE confirms.
According to the New York Daily News, Katherine’s lawyers said in court she was “not prepared” for a “full-fledged trial.” Lawyers for both Katherine and Trent did not immediately respond to requests for comment from PEOPLE.
In February, the Jackson matriarch, 86, was granted a temporary restraining order against Trent after claiming he accessed her bank accounts without her permission, used her credit cards for personal purchases without her authorization and subjected her to years of mental abuse. His alleged actions left Katherine “in a constant state of fear and confusion,” she claimed in the papers.
Describing Trent as an “abusive con-man,” Katherine stated in her initial filing that she tried to fire her nephew — who was also her driver — and order him to move out of her guest house, but he refused.
Last month, Trent filed new court documents that disputed Jackson’s allegations, saying her request was not “authentic or trustworthy” or done “under her own free will.” Trent alleged in his filing that Katherine was being “secluded in London” and kept away from him by her children, including Jermaine Jackson.

Katherine Jackson Dismisses Restraining Order Case Against Nephew Trent
Katherine Jackson seems to have had a change of heart.
The Jackson matriarch filed a request to dismiss her restraining order case against her nephew, Trent Jackson, on Tuesday, the day her trial against Trent was supposed to begin.
Katherine filed a request to dismiss the case without prejudice, however, L.A. County Superior Court Judge Rolf Michael Treu granted the dismissal with prejudice, preventing her from filing the restraining order again with the same evidence and allegations in the future. The judge did note that future conduct can be litigated.
Katherine's new lawyers, Nelson J. Handy and Vatche Zetjian, explained that Katherine didn't understand the extent of the action brought about by the case when she initially filed the temporary restraining order request in February, and said that she was not prepared for a trial, or having to testify in court.
At the time of her initial filing, Katherine alleged that Trent, who was employed as her driver, screened all her phone calls, refused to allow her privacy during visits and calls, and obtained information on her bank accounts by "conning" bank employees into believing that he was her authorized representative. She later claimed that Trent was spying on her with hidden cameras, and that she was "afraid" in her own home.
Two of Katherine's children, 62-year-old Jermaine Jackson and 66-year-old Rebbie Jackson, also filed declarations in March, backing up their mother's allegations of elder abuse.
Trent, who lived in Katherine's Calabasas, California, home, insisted in a February appearance on Crime Stories With Nancy Grace that his aunt's claims were "not true." In March, Trent's attorney, Ron Rale, told ET that he was not abusive to Katherine "in any way," and that he had since vacated her guest house.
Rale, who also brought in criminal defense lawyer Philip Cohen, said in court on Tuesday that he and Trent were "happy" Katherine decided to drop the "baseless" case.
"He's got to rebuild his life. At least this thing is behind him. He's a good guy and he'll figure it out. He's a big teddy bear. He's a good, gentle guy," Rale said, adding that as far as he knows, Trent has a "good relationship with the grandkids [Prince, Paris and Blanket Jackson." "He's truly hurt by this. He genuinely misses his aunt. This was a guy who was hired by Michael. He took care of his mom since 2004."

Katherine Jackson Supports Michael's Siblings with $67,000 Monthly Stipend, Claims Trent
KATHERINE JACKSON PAYS THOUSANDS TO SUPPORT HER KIDS... Trent Claims

5/11/2017 2:15 PM PDTKatherine Jackson pays tens of thousands of dollars each month to cover her kids' expenses, so she shouldn't have a problem paying her nephew Trent's legal fees ... according to him.
Trent Jackson wants Katherine to cover the expenses he incurred while defending himself against her claims of elder abuse. In new legal docs -- obtained by TMZ -- he says Katherine told him she receives a $67,000 monthly stipend from Michael Jackson's estate, which she doles out to some of her kids to support them and their families.
In the docs, Trent says Katherine told him she gave $12,000/month to Jermaine Jackson ... $7,000/mo. to Rebbie Jackson ... $30,000/mo. to La Toya Jackson ... and $9,850/mo. toward a rental in Calabasas where Jermaine and Randy Jackson's kids stay. That adds up to $58,850 ... almost all of her stipend.
Trent says in light of that kind of spending, Katherine can afford to pay his attorneys, Ron Rale and Philip Cohen, the more than $58,000 in fees for dragging him into court on a case that was ultimately thrown out. Btw, Trent still believes Katherine's kids coerced her into filing the case

She is rarely seen out nowadays.
But Michael Jackson's wheelchair-bound mother Katherine, 87, made a rare public appearance on Wednesday evening.
Daughter Rebbie Jackson, 67, took her to see grandson Austin Brown perform at the intimate Hotel Cafe in Hollywood.

The Jackson family matriarch left the Hotel Cafe in a wheelchair after watching Rebbie Jackson's son Austin Brown perform a small show at the venue
Austin, who played with Dana Williams, is Rebbie's 31-year-old son.
Katherine looked well in a long black dress and smart red jacket while her daughter was clad in a red sweater covered in flowers, black Adidas pants and a cap that she jammed low over her eyes

Katherine Jackson Resurfaces at Mel's Diner Raising Family Concerns
KATHERINE JACKSONRESURFACES AT MEL'S DINER ...Side of Freedom, Please?
6/8/2017 4:32 PM PDT
Katherine Jackson resurfaced late Wednesday night at a famous West Hollywood diner, setting off alarms for some very worried family members.
Katherine was seen leaving Mel's Diner Wednesday night -- at 11 PM, no less -- with 1 bodyguard and 2 women.
Katherine hasn't been seen in public since March, when she returned from her extended stay in London.
Some members of the Jackson family are very concerned because they said the matriarch would NEVER end up close to midnight on the Sunset Strip at a diner. They note Katherine loved her life when she was living at her Calabasas home with a chef hired by the Michael Jackson estate.
They say she would have scoffed at diner food, and think she's been pressured and fooled by certain members of Jackson's family to bolt from the fold and help them squeeze money from the estate.
Our sources say Katherine is now living in a hotel near her Calabasas home, and they believe it's all the doing of certain family members who want to keep Katherine isolated ... especially from her grandchildren.
Whatever's going on ... it seems odd an 87-year-old woman would have a hankering for Mel's so late at night.
